HACC - In Home Supports

MCC provides In-home supports which include:

Domestic Assistance

Assistance with domestic chores, including assistance with cleaning, dishwashing, clothes washing and ironing, meal preparation, shopping (unaccompanied) and bill paying.

Social Support

A culturally appropriate companion provides assistance either within the home or while accessing the community. This can include friendly visitor services, letter writing for the person, shopping, bill paying, attending appointments, banking and telephone-based monitoring services.

Personal Care

Assistance with daily self-care tasks, such as eating, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, getting in and out of bed, and moving about the house.

Nursing

Professional care provided by a registered or enrolled nurse.

In-Home Respite

Assistance received by a carer from a substitute culturally appropriate care person who provides supervision and assistance to their care recipient. This support is to give carers relief from their caring role.

Transport

Assistance with transport so that the client may get out of the house and do chores, attend other activities or community centres and participate in community.

If you require more information regarding these Government funded services view the Queensland Government Health and Community Care website.
