Community Visitors Scheme

Residents in nursing home s who are from a non-English speaking background often are socially isolated due to other residents and staff not speaking their language.

With the support of culturally and linguistically appropriate volunteers, this program assists people as they progress from MCC programs, into nursing homes and then provides a volunteer visitor to regularly visit them.

Volunteers are always being sought by MCC, particularly to visit socially isolated nursing home residents. Mileage costs to visit people are reimbursed for this support. If you are interested, please contact us.
