Program/ project Title: Sexual Health Promotions for CALD Youth

Program/ project overview: To deliver a series of gender specific forums for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) youth to ascertain their level of knowledge around general health issues, support services available and gender specific issues.

Primary Focus: To increase CALD youths’ knowledge around multiple health issues including gender specific needs and to promote local health support services.

Referral Criteria: Youth can be referred into this program if they are aged between 12 and 21 years old.

How to Refer: To make a referral to this program you must firstly obtain the participant permission, as this is a voluntary program. Once the permission has been granted please phone Candice or Natasha from the Child, Youth & Family Service.

What happens after referral: Once a referral has taken place, Candice will notify the individual of the dates of the forums specific to their gender. A meal will be provided during the forum.
